- Become a better bookstore negotiator, securing better contracts for fairer prices
- Do not acquire the yearly-newest version of books for subjects which do not change drastically in a short period of time (like math or sciences)
- Make students aware of other options besides buying books from the store outright
- Show statistics that renting a book versus buying it result in the same GPA
- Work with professors to provide cheaper versions and open source options, mandating this if necessary
- Consider including "core class" textbooks in tuition so that it is not such a burden on students to come up with non-aided funds
